What is the Citizen's Academy?
The Saratoga Springs Police Department conducts a Citizen’s Academy in order to promote a better understanding and working knowledge of the Police Department. Our goal is to provide an educational environment for one to learn of the basic duties of the Law Enforcement Officer. In addition, this course will provide a means to dispel myths, perceived suspicions, and misconceptions regarding the practices of Law Enforcement. The Citizen’s Academy presents an opportunity to promote civic awareness.
