Parking

  • No overnight parking or obstruction is allowed on city streets from November through March during the time of 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • No parking during a "snowstorm", and for a period of forty eight (48) hours after a snowstorm. Any person causing or responsible for vehicles, trailers, dumpsters or other obstructions to be left on city streets during a snowstorm or for a period of forty eight (48) hours after a snowstorm, as specified herein, shall be guilty of an infraction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Any vehicle or obstruction in violation of this chapter may be towed or removed at owner's expense.

Snow Removal by Residents

  • Sidewalks: Residents and property owners are responsible for clearing their own property, including sidewalks and in front of mailboxes, by twenty four (24) hours after a storm ends. (Ord. 2012-02, 1-24-2012)
  • Snow Piling Prohibited: Placing snow on streets and gutters is prohibited. A person who violates this section shall be guilty of an infraction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 2012-02, 1-24-2012 and 2013 Code)
