City Council approved the project and set aside funds to start the conversion process to switch the City's street lighting over to LED. The Public Works department did their due diligence to find the most energy efficient and cost effective approach. Rebates are also available, which will contribute to the significant cost savings upfront, not to mention the benefit of an ongoing lowered cost for the City. While the conversion is time consuming, the City plans to have it completed by June 2017.
